My name is Sha. Originally from Michigan, I now call California my home. Making art has always been a central part of my life. Moving from pencil and charcoal, to now watercolor and acrylic, my focus has always been on the creative process and using it to connect with people. Currently I paint all things that inspire me.
My art ranges from abstract to representational, allowing each piece to decide for itself as I create. This reflects our varied experiences in life — sometimes complex and hard to explain, and other times straightforward and simple. My drive to create is fueled by the desire to interpret the world around me and explore our understanding of belonging.
My goal is to connect with another human through my art and underscore the commonalities of the human experience. My hope is that my work will remind the audience of something familiar that can’t quite be placed, reminding them that we share more than we realize.
